Anthropology

The Anthropology (APY) area of specialization provides students with a background in the study of people in their cultural context and the examination of patterned social behavior. Anthropology is a broad, holistic field that seeks to understand human adaptation to natural and social environments. For career information visit the UF Career Connections Center.

Requirements

Students are required to have a minimum of four classes totaling 12 hours from any of the 3000-4000 level courses listed below and maintain a minimum 2.0 area of specialization GPA. Be sure to check course prerequisite requirements. Visit the Undergraduate Catalog Courses page to find more details for each course.

  • Any 3000/4000-level ANT courses, excluding 4905 courses

Minor Option

To complete the minor students must earn 15 credit hours with a grade of C or better in each class. You can find out more about the Anthropology minor offered in the Undergraduate Catalog.
