Animal Sciences

The Animal Sciences (AS) area of specialization is designed to give students a starting point to understanding the fields in Animal Sciences. Potential careers include livestock production, livestock processing and utilization, allied service industries. With additional science and math courses, this also can assist in preparation for veterinary medicine. For career information visit the UF Career Connections Center.

Requirements

Students are required to have a minimum of four classes totaling 12 hours from any of the courses listed below. Most 3000 and 4000 level courses assume completion of BSC 2010, 2011 and CHM 2045. You must maintain a minimum 2.0 area of specialization GPA. Be sure to check course prerequisite requirements. Visit the Undergraduate Catalog Courses page to find more details for each course.
